Celebrating 100 Years of Business

Over the years the market has had six owners in three locations. John Chiala is the current owner and has been operating Los Gatos Meats & Smokehouse since 1991. That's 100 years exactly from the year when the market first opened on Main Street.
Doing business the same as it was 100 years ago, Los Gatos Meats still follows old fashioned methods, with some interventions by John and Brian Chiala, such as "tumbling" turkeys, "turduckins" and homemade sausage. They have built the business by reaching out to the community, providing free or discounted products to many nonprofit organizations in town.
